Morrowind

TES3MP Troubleshooting

General Advice

Game Console

  • The game console can be used to run vanilla commands, just like in the original Morrowind.
  • To access it, players must first be granted console access by an admin via the /setconsole command (in the TES3MP console).
  • Press ` (tilde key, below Esc) to open the console.

Chat Window (TES3MP Console)

  • The chat window can be toggled by pressing F2.
  • Press Y to type in the chat.
  • Type /help to see a list of commands.

Specific Issues

My friend got cured of Corprus but I still have the disease!

Only the player who gives Divayth Fyr the Dwemer Boots will be cured of Corprus.

Other players can cure themselves using the following console commands:

Player->AddSpell "common disease immunity"
Player->AddSpell "blight disease immunity"
Player->AddSpell "corprus immunity"
Player->RemoveSpell "corprus"

Mehra Milo is missing!

Mehra Milo, when situated in the Ministry of Truth and Holamayan, may only be visible to the player who previously talked to her!

The easiest workaround is to have the same player talk to her again.

I can't open the door to the Holamayan Monastery!

The door to this monastery only opens at a particular time of day, but there is no way to pass time except by literally waiting (in real life).

Fortunately, the game time can be changed by a server moderator using this command in chat:

/sethour 6

I can't open the door to the Cavern of the Incarnate!

See above.

Anarenen's Devil Tanto doesn't appear during the "Loot the Mages' Guild" quest!

This item does not appear in the intended container during this quest, so it must be added to the player's inventory using the game console:

player->additem devil_tanto_tgamg 1

I got expelled from a faction and can't rejoin!

In some cases, expulsion from a guild is permanent. Normally you would just reload a save file in this scenario, but that is not an option in TES3MP.

To rejoin a guild, use the PcClearExpelled console command.

Followers / summons are attacking my friend!

NPCs who need to follow (or escort) the player may become aggressive to other players, if you have previosly attacked or been attacked by those players.

To fix this, you can tell the game that you are friends by using the invite chat command, e.g.

/invite <pid>

Alternatively, try one of the following:

  • Have the targeted player log out and log back in.
  • Have the targeted player hide in an interior cell.
  • Cast a "Calm Humanoid" or "Calm Creature" spell.

The guards won't accept my Morag Tong writs!

Unfortunately, Morag Tong writs are currently broken, but you can clear your name after the killing by typing this into the game console:

SetPCCrimeLevel 0
